Description

It is a precious and ancient legume that is cultivated on the plains of CASTELLUCCIO, inside the National Park of the Sibillini Mountains, at a height of about 1,500 meters. Due to the rather harsh weather conditions, CASTELLUCCIO lentil is the only legume that does not need to be treated for conservation. It has remarkable nutritional qualities: great for those who need a diet rich in iron, potassium and phosphorus, low in fat and very nutritious. Another important feature of CASTELLUCCIO lentil is the thin, tender skin that allows cooking without soaking, greatly reducing the preparation time.
